Genesis is introducing the updated 2026 G80 sedan in Australia, headlined by a new flagship variant called the G80 Black.
The latest lineup adopts Genesis’s ‘Signature’ naming structure, bringing it into line with the rest of the brand’s model range. Buyers will be able to choose from three versions; the 2.5T rear-wheel-drive Signature, the 3.5T all-wheel-drive Signature Sport, and the new 3.5T AWD G80 Black.

At the top of the range, the G80 Black aims to showcase the brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language in its most focused form. Available only in an all-black finish inside and out, the special edition has been designed with meticulous attention to detail, with the company’s stylists experimenting with numerous shades of black across materials to create depth and cohesion.
The cabin features Nappa leather upholstery alongside unique trim details. Genesis has also incorporated a number of sustainable elements into the new G80 Black.

These include recycled materials such as leather coloured using carbon black derived from old tyres, carpets made partly from discarded fishing nets, and floor mats containing fibres sourced from beechwood. Justin Douglass, head of Genesis Motors Australia, said:
“The striking new G80 Black brings even greater sophistication and appeal to our sedan line-up. With a choice of powertrains and richly equipped grades, and a dramatic new flagship, 2026 G80 will appeal to a broad range of discerning buyers.”

As with the rest of the Genesis lineup, buyers are covered by a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, five years of complimentary scheduled servicing, and a concierge-style ownership program that includes courtesy vehicles and roadside assistance.
The new model is available to order now, with prices starting from the following (excluding on-road costs):
2026 Genesis G80 Signature 2.5T RWD: $104,200
2026 Genesis G80 Signature Sport 3.5T AWD: $127,200
