MY2026 updates add Digital Key 2 for Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe

Hyundai has introduced some updates for the MY2026 Tucson and Santa Fe lineups, bringing in revised pricing and the addition of Hyundai Digital Key 2 across both models.

The Tucson range now takes a sharper focus on hybrid power, with the 1.6-litre turbo-petrol dropped entirely. The 2.0-litre MPi remains the sole non-hybrid option, with the 1.6-litre turbo hybrid continuing. A three-trim structure continues unchanged as well; Tucson, Elite, and Premium.

Buyers seeking sportier styling will find the N Line package now limited to Elite and Premium grades. Pricing has been cut by between $1000 and $2500 depending on the variant, with the range starting from $38,100 (excluding on-roads).

Other updates for Tucson include new 17-inch alloy wheels for the entry model and a refreshed paint selection, highlighted by the addition of Ecotronic Grey in pearl and matte finishes. Matte finishes are now exclusive to Premium and N Line trims, while Titan Grey Metallic has been phased out.

MY2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

The larger Santa Fe also adopts Hyundai Digital Key 2 as standard, alongside new wheel designs that vary between the 206kW/422Nm 2.5T-GDi petrol and 172kW/367Nm 1.6T hybrid models. Its pricing has risen by $400 across the range, starting from $53,400 (excluding on-roads). Entry versions now ride on 18-inch alloys, while the familiar three-trim structure remains unchanged; Santa Fe, Elite, Calligraphy.

Digital Key 2 enables owners to unlock, start, and share vehicle access via a compatible smartphone or smartwatch, with up to 15 sharable keys. The system works with Apple, Samsung, and Google wallets, removing the need for a traditional key fob (a physical key is standard as well).
