Milltek Sport in the UK is offering new performance exhaust systems for the latest Volkswagen Amarok and Ford Ranger, promising a more distinctive sound and appearance without stepping away from everyday usability.
The new systems have been engineered for the current-generation Ranger and Amarok, underpinned by the same platform, covering both the 3.0-litre V6 diesel and the 2.3-litre turbo petrol plug-in hybrid (Ford Ranger PHEV only). Milltek says each powertrain required its own development path, particularly when it came to valve calibration and exhaust tuning.

In the case of the Ranger PHEV, special attention has been given to delivering a more pronounced engine note, an area where electrified powertrains can often feel subdued. Milltek engineers have used tailored valve control to balance sound character with drivability, while also aiming to improve throttle response across the range.
Different layouts are offered depending on the vehicle. Ranger buyers can choose between front pipe-back or downpipe-back twin-outlet configurations, while the Amarok is offered with a non-resonated cat-back system featuring twin tailpipes. Both are designed to improve exhaust flow while remaining suitable for real-world use, including towing and long-distance driving.

All systems are manufactured from T304L stainless steel and are produced at Milltek’s Derby facility in the UK. A range of exhaust tip finishes is also available, allowing owners to tailor the look, from more understated designs through to darker or titanium-style options.
Milltek’s move reflects a growing appetite for aftermarket upgrades in the dual-cab ute segment, even in the UK. Now, although these upgrades have been announced in the UK, Milltek does have stockists in Australia. We’re sure similar kits could be offered for local owners as well.
