MY2026 Ford Ranger Raptor Desert Pack special edition announced

As if the Ranger Raptor wasn’t already hardcore enough, Ford Australia has just announced a special Desert Pack limited edition for the local market. It brings in a range of new accessories.

Just 500 of these bad boys are going up for grabs, so, if you’re interested, best to get in quick. The pack has been developed in collaboration with aftermarket off-road specialist, ARB, and is inspired by the Raptor race car that won the Finke Desert Race.

Features include an ARB sports bar, four ARB Nacho Quatro lights across a bespoke roof bar, Desert Pack decals, and thick Ford Performance floor mats front and rear to keep grubby boots off the carpet.

Even though this is a special pack put together as a turn-key setup, Ford says the Nacho lights and ARB Sports Bar will become available as aftermarket accessories after these 500 special editions have been sold, just to keep some level of exclusivity.

Ford also says the factory Power Roller Shutter is not compatible with the Desert Pack due to the Sports Bar, but the Real Truck Power Roller Shutter (previously called Mountain Top) can be optioned via Ford Accessories. Ambrose Henderson, marketing director, Ford Australia, said:

“The Desert Pack celebrates that racing heritage while delivering the authentic off-road enhancements that our most enthusiastic customers have been asking for. By partnering with ARB, we’re bringing that same spirit of extreme performance to customers who demand that little bit extra capability and style from their Raptor.”

The special edition is available to order now as an MY2026 Raptor, with production commencing in October and first deliveries shortly after. Prices start from $5990 for the pack, in addition to the Raptor’s retail price of $90,690 (excluding on-road costs).
