Ford Ranger ‘Black Edition’ returns for MY2026, arrives in October

The Ford Ranger Black Edition is coming back, this time for the MY2026 update. It’s a special edition featuring a range of sinister cosmetic-based enhancements.

Based on the entry-level XL dual-cab, the 2026 Ranger Black Edition features the 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine producing 154kW and 500Nm. It comes matched to a 10-speed auto as per the regular models.

Unique to the Black Edition is a set of 17-inch alloy wheels in Asphalt Black, wearing the all-terrain tyre option. These match black side steps, an Asphalt Black front grille, and black ‘long-legged’ sports bar in the tray area.

Buyers also get a drop-in tubliner as standard, the Cargo Management System as standard, and carpeted interior flooring with a mat for the driver. Other than that, the special edition is the same as the regular XL. Andrew Birkic, president and CEO at Ford Australia, said:

“The Ranger Black Edition is back by popular demand, offering a fantastic blend of style, capability, and value. We understand that our customers, whether for personal use or small business needs, are looking for a truck that not only performs but also stands out.”

The new version is scheduled to go into production in September until October, and will be available for a limited time only. Deliveries are expected to commence in October.

Prices start from $57,000 for private buyers and from $55,000 for ABN holders (both drive-away), when finished in the standard Arctic White exterior paint.
