Nissan has officially revealed the most potent version of its iconic Patrol SUV to date, the all-new 2026 Patrol NISMO. It has been designed exclusively for Middle Eastern markets and is set to arrive in showrooms across the region from July. Unfortunately, that means it’s not coming to Australia any time soon.
Tailored to suit local tastes and terrain, the new Patrol NISMO marks a significant leap in performance. The uniquely-tuned 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, exclusive to the region, produces 369kW (495hp) and 700Nm, and is paired with a re-tuned nine-speed automatic transmission. It also gets paddle-shifters for added driver engagement.

The model is a product of Nissan’s storied motorsports division, NISMO, and has undergone extensive testing in the Middle East’s toughest conditions. Although not common for a large SUV, it blends track-honed handling with rugged utility, via sharper steering, active suspension, and improved high-speed stability thanks to comprehensive aerodynamic upgrades.
Design-wise, the Patrol NISMO strikes a commanding figure with a reworked V-Motion grille, aggressive bumpers, air curtains, and a functional rear diffuser. NISMO red accents and a Formula E-style rear fog light bring a racy edge, while a selection of five exterior colours – including the exclusive Stealth Gray – can be paired with a contrasting black roof.

Inside, the cabin follows through with NISMO’s signature black and red theme. Sports seats with honeycomb quilting, red contrast stitching, and carbon-look trim complement the performance character. Other highlights include red seatbelts, a red starter button, and embossed headrests. A tuned exhaust note is ‘amplified’ by in-cabin sound enhancement (unfortunately).
Lightweight forged 22-inch alloy wheels from RAYS and a bespoke tyre package help deliver improved lateral grip and braking performance.

The new Patrol NISMO joins the wider Patrol range in the Middle East alongside the core model and the off-road-focused Patrol PRO-4X. Nissan Australia has previously confirmed the regular Y63 will arrive locally in 2026. A new Warrior version is not out of the question.
